What Does the Scanning Devices Feature Do?

The Scanning Devices Feature simplifies device registration and validation for new restaurant openings. Installers scan the device serial number or use the QR code on the shipping box, containing multiple serial numbers, for bulk registration.

If a device doesn’t belong to the site, an error message appears; if it does, a success message confirms registration. This scan automatically updates Ziosk inventory management platform, replacing the current manual process with a faster, error-free system.


How to Scan Sensors:

Step 1: To begin, select the Barcode Icon located on the top right corner of the Device Homes screen. 


Step 2: Add a device scanning each device’s barcode individually or by scanning a QR code on the package to register multiple devices.

 

Step 3: After scanning, a confirmation message will populate that the scan was successful. If there’s an issue, such as a damaged or unreadable barcode, the app will display an error message and will prompt to manually enter the barcode number.
